A couple of weeks ago, Grace brought home her first homework packet from kindergarten. The packet consists of 4-5 pages (front and back) of coloring, matching, writing, drawing, etc. She brings it home on Monday and returns it on Friday. With this as our timing, we try to work on one page a day. Grace does her homework right after she gets home and has a snack (otherwise it becomes a lost cause). While she doesn't complain about having to do the homework, she often finds ways to make it more interesting. Here are just a few photos of some of her best attempts at making homework fun! She just keeps us entertained--even when she is doing something as boring as homework.
Claira also keeps us entertained these days--especially with her walking. Yes, it is official, Claira is walking! She started out by taking a few steps here and there a couple of weeks ago, but strictly on her terms (to the point where I can't even say when she took her first steps). She absolutely would not "walk to mommy" or anything that consisted of coaxing in the least. At random moments throughout the day, I would look up from what I was doing to see her taking 4 or 5 steps here and there. Then one day she took about 10 steps and it just escalated from there. She is still a little wobbly and usually falls somewhere along the way, but she can stand up in the middle of the room without any support from the couch, the wall, or a leg, and she usually tries to walk to something she wants before crawling the rest of the way. She is just getting too big too fast. I am going to post a short video of her walking--I just don't have a very good one yet.

We also got our court date a couple of weeks ago, and while we are happy to have the date, we are a little sad that it happens to be a couple of months away still (December 26th). It was the closest date we could get, so of course we snatched it up. Claira will be one before we are sealed and can bless her. I already bought her the perfect dress (no returns after 10 days--size 9-12 months), so we will be squeezing her chubby little body in that dress no matter what. Oh well, we are excited for everything to be official, so no more complaints about something that I have absolutely no control over. It will be an incredible experience no matter how small the dress!

Funny pictures of them doing the same things. We are excited to see you in just a couple weeks. Keep us posted of the dates of the sealing and blessing. We would love to make it this time.
Funny coincidence: I had bought Noah's blessing outfit when he was born and didn't expect 1.for him to grow so fast and 2.the blessing would be 3 months later. So we shoved his ginormous body into his blessing outfit. We have no pictures of him in it because we were running late to the blessing and said we would take the pictures after, but we stripped it off him as soon as we could. The wrists were cutting off his circulation and the back button wasn't even fastened. Claira will look cute no matter what.
They are both so cute! I love how they do the same things and that you have pictures of them in the same outfits! Both of them are such characters. Love all the stories.
